The Sabo Typist Origin Story

I was writing a piece called Rimbaud at Iowa. The setup was pretty straightforward. Arthur Rimbaud, lost in a time warp, somewhere between writing A Season in Hell and disappearing to run guns in Africa, finds himself enrolled in the Iowa Writers Workshop and sitting in a circle of fellow writers discussing their work. I had been using Claude Sonnet 4.6 to run ideas. It was the early days of AI for me. I hadn't read a bad word about it. Anyway, I quickly realized that Claude was a pedantic knob and ultimately a terrible editor. Worse, I had begun to anthropomorphize it. So I stopped the piece on Rimbaud and wrote Claude is So Dumb.
